What is a mobility vehicle?
It is an advanced, remotely controlled robotic platform, often designed as a 4×4 vehicle for enhanced realism. This vehicle is not simply a moving target; it is a smart target carrier, to which a range of Pop-Up Systems are mounted on top.
Advanced Tactical Importance:
It takes training to a whole new level of complexity and realism:
- Simulating Real Moving Threats: It’s the best way to simulate a moving adversary in the field, whether it’s an enemy vehicle (like a “tech” vehicle) or infantry advancing toward your position.
- Training on Leading the Target and Firing at Moving Targets: The gunner learns the complex skill of calculating the lead required to hit a target that doesn’t move in a straight line but changes direction and speed unpredictably.
- Improving Targeting Accuracy and Prioritization: We equip the vehicle with pop-up targets of varying sizes (large and small).
This clever design forces the gunner to:
- Quickly switch between targets and distribute fire.
- Prioritize engagement (Should I target the larger, easier target, or the smaller, more dangerous one?).
- Hone accuracy skills by attempting to hit smaller targets on a moving platform.
