Remote Control and Management Systems: The Digital Brain of Modern Shooting Ranges

In traditional shooting ranges, target operation and training management were manual, slow, and limited in scope.

Today, thanks to the systems we design and develop at Maknoon, managing shooting ranges, whether enclosed (measured in meters) or open (spanning kilometers), is a centralized process managed from a single control room.

We provide the “central nervous system” of the range, a Command and Control system that transforms the range from a static space into a dynamic, intelligent, and interactive training environment.

The Strategic and Military Importance of Centralized Control Systems

Total Control and Enhanced Safety:

Importance: This is the highest priority. The system gives the Range Master a comprehensive view and complete control over every element within the range from a single screen. With the touch of a button, they can immediately halt all activities in the event of an emergency, raising safety standards to the highest possible level and preventing accidents.

Enhanced Realism and Training Complexity:

Importance: Real battles are neither simple nor predictable. Our systems allow trainers to become true “battle directors.” They can design highly complex training scenarios that would be impossible to execute manually, such as:

  • Simultaneous activation of multiple targets (infantry, armored vehicles, robots) in different locations.
  • Linking the appearance of a specific target to an audio or visual effect to simulate a battle environment.
  • Programming a tactical sequence of events, where engaging one target triggers the activation of another.
  • Operational Efficiency and Increased Training Return:

Importance: Time and resources are the most valuable assets. Remote control systems completely eliminate the need for personnel in the field to change or repair targets between firing rounds.

This leads to:

  • A significant reduction in operational manpower.
  • A substantial increase in actual firing time (effective training time), as transitions between different scenarios occur in mere seconds.
  • Accurate Recording and Scientific Analysis of Performance:

Importance: Effective training relies on objective evaluation. Our systems not only manage the field but also accurately record every event: each shot fired, shooter reaction time, the order of targets engaged, and hit results. This data is compiled into detailed reports, providing instructors with a scientific tool for conducting post-mission reviews (AARs) and accurately and objectively identifying strengths and weaknesses.

Maknoon Solutions: Flexibility and Adaptability

We understand that every field has its own unique challenges, so we offer flexible control solutions:

  • For enclosed and divided fields: We use short-range wired or wireless (Wi-Fi) communication networks to ensure a stable and reliable connection.
  • For vast open fields: We design and install secure long-range wireless communication networks (RF networks) capable of covering areas spanning square kilometers, ensuring that the control signal reaches the most remote target in the field without any delay or interruption.
